My first round of comps for CoachFuel went down well. There is still lots to be done, but the idea of the Season Planner has got the client excited.

Login redesign

Here are before and after screenshots of a redesign project I did for our login page.

Before:

After

A couple years back I noticed the trend of using large controls (and fonts) for the input fields and it totally makes sense. This is all you are entering on a login page so make is big and bold forcing the user to give it full attention.

Having a login button vastly improves the look, and now there is a direct flow of entry, all left aligned, to help the user quickly scan and enter data.

This redesign was a copy of the old Virb login page, and it never got implemented in our product.

About

Hi! My name is Greg Wilkinson. I am a software engineer by trade and I'm passionate about user interface design.

I'm a South African transplant who is living in beautiful San Diego, California. My wife, Madeleine, and I moved here in 2001 because the company I worked for offered me a 3 year 'contract'. The contract period kept getting extended and in 2005 won the Green Card lottery. We haven't looked back since and now have 2 beautiful children that keep us young and on our toes.
